RadioRebel

THIS was probably the "funnest" (we all know that's not a word, just hear me out) assignment to me.  I don't know if anyone watched 'Radio Rebel' on Disney growing up, but this assignment reminded me of that. We had to create, I believe, 2-3 different radio announcements, and I really enjoyed putting together different scripts for your different audiences, but ALL for the same company. Creating these scripts made me think in a way I haven't because I don't know what "radio talk" is like, since I don't listen to it. Challenges like these just force me to research what I am trying to do; once I'm finished, I feel like I've been here before. There are many forms, and I enjoy the comedic ones, but there are the commercials that promote these companies, and they make it fun and interesting to listen to, especially with new shoe drops.

Bloggin' IT

This is a very unique assignment.  I've never had to blog before, and about the course specifically kinda narrows my blogging action down. But it makes my creative mind think, and I LOVE a good challenge. My brain is working overtime, and I sit to think that, "WOW, I actually use my skills learned from this class in my actual life." My unc and pops own their own Mobile Cuisine restaurant, and I am basically the PR team. (I and my annoying TWIN brother). We create social media strategies to draw attention to our social media pages (which I created), TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. We capture photos and videos to post and also create videos that highlight the KEY parts of this family business. I enjoy putting what I learn to use in my actual life, and this class gave me that knowledge, and I appreciate that. We post information that the people want to hear, and our values are always presented. SIDE NOTE:  Bros Kitchen WILL be a family enterprise and may be in your city s...

Public Relations??!

Image
As I started the class, I knew what I signed up for, but I didn't KNOW what I was signing up for.  This was going to be the basics and just the general outline of what public relations was. (It was exactly that, but with a twist). The power to be able to influence others and really know what these major companies do to strategies and cater to their audience was intriguing. I'm now interested in a new way.  As I established and understood what this class was, I learned that it is my favorite thing ever. I researched different public relations techniques that companies use, and I find it cool that the PR teams understand the assignment. I personally love the social media aspect of it. Yet, there is a way to physically cater to what your clientele wants/needs. I love the power of persuasion, really using your words to get people to buy exactly what you're selling or trying to inform. (for the News Channels out there). The media is the biggest way to get out information, se...
